Our Story

Will and Susie met in Dallas on September 28, 2018, the night before the Texas A&M vs. Arkansas football game. That night, Susie asked her high school friend to introduce her to his pledge brothers, that’s when she met Will! To make the weekend even better, the Aggies went on to win the game the next day — WHOOP!

This photo is from the day after Susie and Will first met!

After meeting, Susie and Will became great friends. Their friend groups overlapped, so they often found themselves hanging out together. Susie used to study at Starbucks between classes, Will caught on and started showing up every week, sometimes walking halfway across campus just to see her. Little did Susie know, Will was hoping to be more than friends. Little did Will know, Susie really was just trying to study! Over time, their friendship grew stronger, and they even went on a few “dates,” unbeknownst to Susie. During the 2021 school year, Susie started to realize she might like Will as more than just a friend. Her mom knew something was different when Susie’s first call after finding out she was moving to Dallas for a summer internship was to Will.

That summer, Susie moved to Dallas for her internship, and Will promised to show her around the city. Their first official date was at Cane Rosso, where they shared pizza, laughed nonstop, and realized that this time together felt different. They spent so much time together that summer, whether watching movies at the Hyatt House (where Susie lived for the summer) or spending the Fourth of July with Will’s family, and their connection only grew stronger from there. After graduating from Texas A&M, Susie and Will both moved to Austin and continued their adventures there together.
